Orb
Solid marble spheres, supported by bent brass structures, forge essential, sculpted illustrations of abstract planets.
Orb harnesses the mesmerizing beauty of geological patters, together with the wonders of celestial bodies, creating a synthesis between the natural and the odd and peculiar.
Fruit Towers
The Fruit Towers are ceramic vases with high-temperature glaze executed by the craftsmen Jian-Fu Zhong and Wen-Yi Kung.
With the Fruit Towers we wanted to display a relationship between the past and the present, traditional and contemporary.
Test Tubes
Through an experimental journey of form and function we have been exploring new possibilities of using brass tubes to create three dimensional practical objects.
Catwalk Bench
The Catwalk Bench takes an uncommon approach to upholstery, wherein the textile is displayed as a revolving loop, somewhat reminiscent of a conveyor belt – rather than resting static.
Out Of Order
Out Of Order is the result of a collaboration between Amsterdam-based interdisciplinary design studio BCXSY and Rotterdam-based design studio Atelier Robotiq.
Light Forest
Exploring this fully customizable architectural lighting-system, we have created the dynamic luminous Light Forest installation.
Inspired by the sunlight shining through the woods, the panels, covered by a patchwork of 3M synthetic fine wood surface resemble an abstract, dense forest.
Linear Cycle
Linear Cycle is not a common clock.
Instead of the usual rotating dials it features a revolving shell-like element which allows it to indicate the passing hours on a linear plate instead of a circular one.
Mixed Animals
Why does an elephant have such a long nose?
We naturally associate specific proportions and parts to certain animals, yet the Mixed Animals feature a system of magnets and separate body and accessories pieces allowing one to challenge these associations.
Origin part IV: Foster
Foster is comprised of three series of crafted objects and is the result of our collaboration with Ibuki, a part of Kyoto Takumijuku – a non-profit organization based in Sonobe, Nantan-city, Kyoto prefecture.
New Perspectives
The Textielmuseum in Tilburg, the Netherlands, has invited us to browse through their magnificent archives. Ensuing, we have been commissioned to develop new pieces for the museum’s collection, inspired by our findings, using the TextielLab’s computer-controlled embroidery machine.
Inside out
As part of their Beijing Design Week program, Dashila(b) has invited us to observe and reflect on the very dynamic processes which the Dashilar area is currently going through.
Interlacer
For the Another Terra exhibition during the Salone del Mobile, curated by Barbara Brondi and Marco Rainò, we were commissioned to create a small piece relating to the concept of a travel to a new planet which offers similar conditions as Earth;
Origin part III: Contrast
Contrast is the result of our collaboration with Meitheal Mara, and consists of a Side-Table, Stool and Fruit-Bowls.
City of Light
City of Light illustrates an abstract image of a city. In contrast to the most installations during the Glow Festival, using cutting edge lighting-technology, this low-tech installation consists of four hanging LED-lit light boxes, featuring layered images of imaginary cities.
